Job Title: Trust Fundraising Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)

Location: Anywhere in the UK, we are a remote-first organisation

Our mission is to tirelessly support and champion how parents can participate in education and have their voices heard.  We want to be a powerful force for good in education in the UK that strives to bring homes and schools together for the good of all children and society.  We have ambitious plans to increase our impact and are establishing a central fundraising strategy for the first time.  Therefore, we are looking for an experienced trust fundraiser to play a key role in delivering organisational growth. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up.  We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects.  You will help to develop our case for support and develop a suite of proposals and reports that will convey to funders what Parentkind does, what the parents and schools we work with want, and how we support them.  Attention to detail is key, as is the ability to manage your time and prioritise your work.

You’ll have

• A minimum of two years of experience in trust fundraising
• Demonstrable success in securing four and five-figure gifts
• Experience in managing funder relationships, and developing them into longer-term partnerships
• Strong research skills to help identify suitable prospects whose mission aligns with Parentkind
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent communication skills - strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality written applications, and proposals and deliver impactful presentations

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Research and evaluate new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and other grant funders, maintaining a 12-month funding calendar.

2. Cultivate and nurture relationships with funding/grant-making organisations, both new and existing.

3. Develop compelling cases for support for designated projects or organisational areas, tailoring funding bids and applications accordingly.

4. Enhance Buttle UK's ability to deliver compelling reports to donors, meeting or surpassing their expectations.

5. Submit timely reports to donors, ensuring compliance with monitoring and evaluation requirements.

6. Support the maintenance of systems tracking fund allocation and expenditure, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information for funders.

7. Manage donor records on the Raiser's Edge fundraising database, including recording activities, income, and producing management reports.

8. Stay informed about funding opportunities and trends in the sector through attending conferences, workshops, and events.

9. Generate accurate and timely management information on fundraising activities and budgets.

10. Ensure integration of fundraising activities within the wider staff team and provide necessary support.

11. Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Fundraising and Marketing and/or the Trust Fundraising Manager.

12. Proactively assess own performance and development needs.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience

1. Proven experience and success in developing and drafting proposals and/or reports raising funds from trusts, foundations, other grant makers or the equivalent.

2. Experience of creating compelling and concise funding proposals, written documents and reports from a range of information sources, including detailed technical or sector specific information. about the organisation’s work.

3. Proven ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

4. Experience of research techniques applicable to identifying funding opportunities and framing funding bids.

5. Financially literate with the experience of producing and interpreting budgets, or other detailed numerical information.

6. Experience of working under your own initiative, dealing with conflicting demands and working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

7. Experience of project planning and/or project coordination.

8. Proven IT skills, ideally with experience of using databases.

Role outline and purpose
The Trussell Trust are seeking a Philanthropy Executive - Trusts to join our high-performing Trusts team. The role supports the Trussell Trust by raising money from charitable trusts, focusing specifically on Tier 3 trusts (giving up to c.£10,000). You will coordinate a programme of regular stewardship communications to our current givers, fundraise from new prospects through mailings and occasional applications, provide administrative support to the wider team, and ensure that records of communications are kept up to date.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and send mass mailings to Tier 3 charitable trusts, thanking supporters and requesting further support where appropriate
• Develop compelling, persuasive and up-to-date bulk communications to encourage Tier 3 trusts to give regularly, and keep them informed of the Trussell Trust’s achievements and future plans, coordinating with other fundraising teams where appropriate 
• Manage a caseload of c.500 Tier 3 trusts, maintaining accurate records on our CRM database and carrying out analysis on these trusts as necessary
• Liaise with the Supporter Care and Trusts team to ensure that gifts from trusts are coded, thanked and recorded correctly on our database 
• Create and submit occasional funding applications and impact reports for Tier 3 trusts, and offer support to the wider team with their trusts where necessary
• Manage the Trusts team inbox, providing first point of contact for enquiries and colleagues, and fielding them to the relevant Trusts team members.

Schoolreaders was launched ten years ago in Bedfordshire with the aim of recruiting volunteers to provide one-to-one reading support for children in primary schools across the country. Over 22,000 children in over 1000 schools are receiving weekly reading sessions from a Schoolreaders volunteer. About the role:

The Foundation/Domestic Abuse Prevention Practitioner (FDAP) will play a key role in working directly with individuals using harmful/abusive behaviour within their intimate relationships. The role will include suitability and risk assessments, delivery of interventions, facilitation of group programmes, risk identification, information sharing and preparation of reports for courts and other agencies.

The FDAP Practitioner will be co-located into Priority Crime Teams situated in Newport Police Station to assist with the identification, screening, and engagement of individuals using harmful behaviour in their relationships, working closely with police to provide a timely and streamlined process for earlier identification, referral, and engagement/disruption of high harm perpetrators of domestic abuse.

For this role is it essential you have excellent understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on victims and their children. Experience of working with individuals experiencing domestic abuse/ and or causing harm. Experience of group work delivery is desirable; however, we will consider applications from candidates who demonstrate an aptitude for the role.

You will need to be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver the best possible outcomes within a multi-agency setting. As well as being tenacious in support of your clients and adept at problem solving.

IT literacy is a must and candidates must evidence both the ability to use bespoke packages and excellence in their recording practice.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

As a key member of the team, the Grants Officer will work closely with the Head of Charity and colleagues across the team to build a sustainable funding pipeline to help generate significant growth by securing grants by:

• Personally securing substantial gifts from Trusts and Foundations (up to £150k)
• Delivering income targets, in line with the annual budget, from a portfolio of Trusts and Corporate Foundations
• Responsibility for researching Trusts and Corporate Foundations in alignment with a wide variety of projects and appeals that address the needs of BTH
• Developing high-quality bids/applications/cases for support for a variety of funders
• Managing stewardship activities for Trusts and Corporate Foundations, including tracking of reports and payments

We are looking for a Product and Portfolio Manager within our Porfolio Development Team. You will have demonstrable experience in product/portfolio lifecycle management as well as a proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy. • Manage the existing product portfolio, reviewing the existing offering in relation to market trends, client needs, the competitive landscape and the Charity's strategic goals

This important role will represent FareShare Sussex & Surrey engaging with corporate partners and key stakeholders such as council leaders, politicians and dignitaries across the region. 

Using your experience in engagement and relationship management you will work to consolidate existing partnerships and seek new opportunities across Sussex & Surrey, working to build strong relationships locally and encourage partnership, donations, sponsorships and corporate volunteering. The development team has an ambitious target of £1 million to raise, through various streams including corporate partnerships, individual giving, trust applications and other fundraising activities each year. The role will manage the corporate income stream and requires collaboration with all income generation to ensure effective management and stewardship of all partners.

You will develop an exciting donor journey which engages and encourages support from businesses and key stakeholders. Working with high-value supporters to maintain a good relationship with the organisation and fostering new partnerships.

Duties and responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact for existing corporate partners and stakeholders

Context of Job

AFK (Action For Kids) is a national charity helping young people with disabilities to develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose.  As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills and organise work experience placements across North London.  At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 26.

Job Purpose

To support young people aged 18+ who have disabilities and/or are neurodiverse to gain employment. The role will be to primarily liaise with businesses and employers to broker new opportunities for supported and unsupported employment.  You will also work with a small caseload of young people, assessing their employability skills. You will work closely with the Employment & Skills team to place young people from the Employment Coaches caseloads into employment, as well as locate some voluntary roles and work placements. You will deliver one to one job coaching to enable young people to progress towards their own goals and objectives.

Working Conditions

The post is 35 hours a week, normally between 9.30am – 5.30pm. The post holder may be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job. There is a TOIL policy. This role is peripatetic within London.

Principle Responsibilities

1. Engage with businesses and employers to source and secure employment opportunities for the young people AFK work with.
2. Encourage businesses and employers to offer volunteering, work tasters and work placements that may also lead to paid opportunities for young people.
3. Develop and maintain knowledge of the local labour market & opportunities relating to employment, work tasters, work placements and volunteering.

Purpose of Job:

The postholder plays a key role in managing the alumni network, with a specific emphasis on events and volunteer management, to actively engage alumni and stakeholders with Queen Mary’s Grammar School. The goal is to continuously enhance the value and contributions from stakeholders in alignment with Queen Mary’s Grammar School’s strategic priorities.

Ultimately, this role is designed to support the school’s strategic plan by delivering philanthropic income and other forms of financial and non-financial support from alumni and other stakeholders. This is achieved by developing and strengthening relationships with important constituents and identifying shared areas of interest and activities to enable lifelong relationships to form.

Main responsibilities:

1. To work with the Headmaster in developing links with the alumni network through the Queen Mary’s Club (QMC) for the purpose of school promotion, school career programme development and fundraising.

2. To assist with other whole school fundraising projects

3. To oversee the financial and administrative function of school donations and the Queen Mary’s Association (QMA) as a parental fundraising body within the school.

It is expected that the role will be self-funding, as a result of the income brought into the school. This may include funds raised through alumni, grant applications and bequests from former pupils, as well as a contribution towards other fundraising projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION The duties include:

• Actively enhance engagement opportunities with former students and other stakeholders. Contribute to development of methods of engaging with alumni and strengthening their relationship with Queen Mary’s Grammar School and each other;
